According to the 2021-22 Property tax Report Card Data:
- 226 districts in New York had an unrestricted fund balance of greater than 4%
- 149 districts had an unrestricted fund balance percentage greater than North Shore's
- 17 districts exceeded 20% - five times the level set by the state and nearly triple North Shore's
