Meet the Candidates

Dear Residents of the North Shore Community,

On May 17th, we will be voting for next year’s school budget and for three trustees for our Board of Education. Eight candidates have graciously volunteered to put their names in the hat for this opportunity to serve our community, they are: Anna Carfagno, Lisa Cashman, Courtney Citko, David Ludmar (incumbent), Vanessa Grecky Marks, Marianne Manning Russo (incumbent), James Svendsen, and Sean Trager.

The Coordinating Council of the North Shore PCA/PTOs will be hosting a Meet the Candidates Night this Wednesday, April 27th at 8pm. The event will be held live at the NS High School . It will be conducted by the League of Women Voters of Port Washington-Manhasset.

We are working on Livestreaming the event as well and will send more info on this before the event.

We ask that you, as members of the North Shore Community, submit your questions to the candidates. Questions may be submitted to the League in-person at the event and before the forum begins through this link: https://bit.ly/LWV_NS_BOE_Qs (Click on this live link in this email or copy this  link into the URL address bar, not in Google search. Usually the URL address bar is at the very top of the browser where the web address of the current page appears.)

The moderator will receive questions electronically from vetters before, just as we have done with index cards in the past and, during the forum, you can ask your question at the microphone.

Thank you,

Natasha Gordon and Jill Paulinski

Co-Chairs, North Shore Coordinating Council
